AVR PSK31 on Flickr.
Encoding PSK31 with an 8-bit AVR doing analog waveform generation through a resistor ladder network. The phase-shift occurs after cosine-ramping down to DC, then back up on the new phase to reduce bandwidth. The FFT shows the primary spike at 500 Hz, the audio carrier frequency; I’m not sure why there is a second spike at 750 Hz. Source code.
Skirt bike ride in Times Square on Flickr.
Riding through Times Square last night.
Manhattan-henge 2011 on Flickr.
Walking north on Lexington Avenue this evening, I caught a glimpse of the sunset. The iPhone provided the lens flare.
Omafiets and bakfiets on Flickr.
Biking on the west side greenway over the weekend, we saw this neat “oma fiets” and “bakfiets”.
Lunar phase watch (Day 30) on Flickr.
The final day of my 30 days of watches is a lunar phase with local sunrise/sunset times displayed on a 24-hour analog dial.
Fireworks (Day 29) on Flickr.
Today’s clock was going to have a fireworks effect, but I didn’t have time to finish the particle animation system. Instead the time zooms in and out.
Bargraph (Day 28) on Flickr.
Today’s clock slowly fills the colored bargraphs as the day progresses. Each segment is five minutes, split into roughly 9 seconds per pixel.
Swarm (Day 28) on Flickr.
I reused my earlier port of xswarm, adding a clock and making the bees avoid the time display (although the wasp will fly over it).
